I read the first three Harry Potter books, in the last 6 months. The first time in 20 years, too. I was amused to discover how much I had forgotten the scenes not featured in the films. With book 3 I was amazed to find out that the "final sequence" takes place in the last 25 pages of the book, whereas it seems to cover at least half the movie.

I also read The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett.

Currently, I am reading Less by Andrew Sean Greer.

In order to ascertain his motives in the upcoming cinemtic release, I've been fervently delving into the recently declassified and highly fragmentary Journal of Gerald R. that accompanied my Day One copy of Sonic X Shadow Generations.

SPOILER WARNING: Turns out this ednygma enigmatic figure had a kick-ass CV. Dr. Gerald's glorious and tragic career as the world's preeminent scientific genius wasn't limited to producing OP synthetic lifeforms with partial extraterrestrial DNA, unlimited lifespans, and questionable emotional control. He also came up with revolutionary advances in cable TV installation, fire safety, and the tracking of domestic animals.

But after a series of unfortunate events, Dr. Gerald's majestic, spotless mind became fogged with bitterness and disgust towards humanity. Focusing this nigh-almighty rage, he duped his greatest co-creation into becoming a yes-man to his revenge plot.

Can somebody-- anybody-- stop him? I guess we'll find out soon enough...
