I read about it here:
http://www.trueachievemen...-screens-and-trailers.htm

Now it begs the question. Do ducktales prices go even higher from people trying to find the original version or do they drop since it has been rereleased?

I am looking forward to it. Never played the original but the screens for the remake look great.

I know one thing......everyone had better buy your NES Ducktales 2 cart before it skyrockets.  The original cart may double in price, but it can still be had for under $10 and isn't rare.  From the preview, it appears that they are using some of the same levels as the original, just with updated graphics, and have some new levels.  I think that is a great idea, since it will appeal to classic games, as well as newer gamers.

I didn't see any list of which systems it would be made for. Has anyone identified that? I'm hoping it comes to Wii, but I imagine all we are gonna get with the WiiU and 3DS release is more downloadable shovelware.

Announced it for XBLA, PSN and WiiU at PAX East. It has also been slated for a PC release. I would assume that means STEAM.

What's the point? The original Ducktales game was great. Looked cute too. I'd rather replay that (if I had a NES...)

I agree, the original is fantastic, but this new one will have the original level layouts reworked and include some new levels as well.  The boss battles in the new one are different and much harder now as well, which I always thought that the original was too easy (see the new Magica De Spell battle on YouTube).  Looks great and I applaud the effort, should be very nostalgic, as well as more challenging.  Of course, won't ever get rid of my original NES copy, so I understand where you are coming from.

Wayforward are awesome developers. They would be one of the few I'd trust with a game like this. If a miracle occurs and it ever gets a physical release I'll be all over it.
