I don't know how many of you have looked inside your Atari 2600's, but I tore one of mine down to give the case a bubble bath, It was a bit grubby when I bought it, but functionally it worked, but I finally got tired of looking at the years of crud that had built up in the ribs along the top.  I even discovered the desiccated carcass of a spider and some of his former victims inside the system.  *cringes*   Anywho, it always sort of amazed me how little there was to the insides of the system itself.

Forgot to take a before picture, but here she is after the bubble bath.
I need to track down an appropriate color paint pen to redo the orange stripe around the switches, but so far it cleaned up nice.

Neat! It's always fun to take things apart.

Me too.  I know the 2600 was only meant to last for a year, but with the weight of some models I assumed there was going to be more in it.

Thanks for the pics Engel!
