http://www.siliconera.com...ming-to-ps3-and-xbox-360/

I hope these are just 1:1 ports of the arcade versions with no changes, or at least a graphics option. This one piece of news could single-handedly end a lot of importer aspirations though, which could cause a price drop for the Saturn version for those dedicated enough to still desire a copy.

Nice!  Those games were flippin' awesome in the arcades.  Finally got a reason to turn on my Xbox 360 again.

yeah it would be nice if a price-drop happened for physical copies.

I imagine that it will, just look at Ikaruga when that released on XBLA.

The game may still retain some of it's price simply for being the last ever Saturn game produced over in Japan.

I don't think the value will completely die, but even a 10% price dip will be nice for a lot of more hardcore importers.

While I don't embrace the digital future, it is really great to have access to really expensive titles like this or Zanac X Zanac for a fraction of the price.

I really think this is the main reason why digital re-releases should exist. I get indie games, they don't have the capital to make physical copies, and I get re-releases of popular titles, they have the fanbase behind them for quick, easy profit. But, why not put some marketing behind a re-release of a more fringe game in hopes that it will expand the audience? Word of mouth has spread so fast now that the internet is part of a daily routine for many people.

Holy crap.  I went onto ebay and can now see why you want even a small discount.  Ironically this was the price I paid for importing many Saturn and most good PSX games back in 1997 and 1998.
