This July will be the 7th year that I've lived in my house and my collection from then to now has greatly increased.  As such, the old way I had my game room set up just wasn't cutting it anymore, so I decided it was time to redo it.  After about 30 hours this is my new and improved Room of Doom.  There are still a few changes I'm going to make to it, such as putting up posters and I might bring my mini fridge down there, but I think this is how it's going to be for the next few years.  If you want to see a comparison to the way I had it set up before, I'm probably going to leave my old collection pictures on my profile page for a few days before I put the new ones up.

Anyways, here we go!

These are more detailed pics of the north side of the room

This is one of several "Anything that can fit shelves I have.  It's mostly all CD sized games, like PS1, DC, TG-16, and Nintendo handheld systems.  There is also a bit of overflow of PS2 games

These shelves hold my PS2 and 32 x games, as well as a number of loose disc games for various systems.  I also have my Pico games with my 32x games.

Gaming mags, strategy guides, big box PC games and a bunch of random stuff that I wanted to be displayed.  My loose N64 games are in that storage thing on the top left.  My Dragon's Quest Slime controller looks over everything like a guardian, always smiling.

In the small plastic storage bin I have a bunch of Tiger handhelds and various other things like that.  The plastic storage shelf are bigger boxed items, system variants, etc.  Basically just big stuff that is a pain to display properly.

PC, boxed SNES, boxed N64 and my collection of handheld systems.  Also some games that came in bigger packaging.

NES both boxed and loose, complete Sega CD, Saturn, Jaguar, 3DO and other random things.  Eventually this shelf is just going to be NES games, but I have to build more shelving units before that will happen

Detailed pictures from the middle of the room:

Complete Genesis and Game Gear games, as well as a few other things which didn't look good anywhere else.

This is where everything gets played.  In each one of the drawers of that is a different system with all of the connections and controllers for that system.  Having them all hooked up at the same time just gets to be a mess, so I decided to just hook them up as I need them.  The splitter in between the two TVs makes that infinitely easier.

The book shelf are systems that didn't fit in the dresser.  The plastic storage bins have all of my loose Atari 2600, Colecovision, Intellivision, etc. carts in them.  Also more random shit that didn't go anywhere else.

Another storage shelf for bulk items, this time mostly system boxes

My futon with awesome Nintendo sheets on it

These are just random video game related VHS and DVDs.  Also a few other things that once again didn't fit anywhere else

Loose SNES, Genesis, Atari 5200, and other cart based systems.  Also my Master System, Odyssey 2, Hyperscan and PS3 games

DVD case style system games as well as my complete Intellivision games.  I probably have 30-40 XBox 360 and Wii games up in my living room where I have those two systems hooked up.  And hats.  Everyone likes hats, right?

Arcade alley pics:

Donkey Konga is still rad.  This took a bit of damage in a minor flood I had in my basement a year or two ago.

Sky Shark in a Gorf cabinet and POW.  Sky Shark needs to have the joystick replaced.

Dig Dug and Street Fighter II Champion Edition

Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man.  Both could use a new cap kit

4 Player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  The power supply is shot in this and I've been dragging my feet buying a new one.  I just never seem to want to spend $50 on one.

My Apple IIe.  I have no idea where to put this, so it's just in the corner with a bunch of stuff that needs to be donated.

Final set of pics is the store display stand I have in the north side of my room.  It's just a random hodge podge of things that I've put on it over the years.

And that's it!

You know you have an awesome game room when you need to refer to areas by their cardinal direction.

Thanks guys!  Once spring hits I'm going to be building some more custom shelving that should hopefully give me the option of seperating the games by systems a bit more since I'm at max limit with most of my shelves now.
