Updated pics of my game room. I've been spending more and more time down here.  Really need to get some carpet.  But that will come eventually.   Anyway here it is.

PS. Sorry about the sideways pics.  I'll try to fix that.

Thanks guys, and yes Zanac is Awesome!!!

@ Crabby
I had an Entertainment system like this one for years but it got into bad shape after moving so many times in my 20's.

I seen this one on craigslist in my town for cheap, so I jumped on it.  They are very sturdy and are perfect for game console storage.  It's at least 20 years old and looks brand new.  They just don't make them like this anymore.  ( Does that last statement make me seem old)  Tongue

I like it!
I am not "old" and i completely agree that new furniture is not nearly as good as old furniture was. Everything today is particle board or some version there of.

Yeah the only downsides are that they are often VERY heavy and challenging to move when the time arises.

Also it has rollers, so it is very easy to move back and forth for cleaning or running wires.

and yes they suck if you are planning to move.  But I am staying put at this house for a while. So no biggie.

I like how the big set of shelving lets you have long, unbroken runs of games. Looks good.

Your entertainment center looks like it has an empty spot in the lower left. Quick! Go buy another console!

Very nice indeed, lookin' good!  I have that same model of entertainment center making up the right half of my main setup.  Of course, mine is not in nearly as good of condition, and I took off the glass doors for accessibility and kiddie safety.  I even use the space underneath it (raised by by the rollers) to slide in a few more systems (Atari XE, Commodore 64, and my newly modded Dina 2 in One, all slim enough to tuck under.)

Thanks for sharing the pics!

That shelving setup you have is awesome!  Did you make the shelves yourself?  I really gotta make me some shelves.

Looking for CIB NES games..........even Silent Service.
I once made the mistake of smelling a NES cart.  Man, the last guy that blew in it must have had bad breath, because it smelled like a sack full of assholes.

Yes they were built by me and my dad.  They are very heavy duty.  We were framing the walls and that wall had an old pipe, old gas line and my water line.  So I had to use 2 x 8 instead of 2 x 4.  As soon as we started I thought "HEY, why not build an in-the-wall bookshelf."  So that is what we did.  And it turned out great I couldn't be happier.  I never did stain them.  I guess I'll get around to that eventually.
