TMNT & The Simpsons Arcade Games
«

I'm not much of an arcade guy, but I was wondering... Are these two games running on the same engine? They seem to be almost identical aside from the character sprites and environment graphics. Even the slight variances between characters seem to be the same. Marge's extra-long reach with the vacuum cleaner, for instance, seems remniscent of Donatello from the TMNT arcade game. Am I crazy for thinking that these two games are probably running on the same engine?

I think there are a couple differences between them, but for the most part, yes it is pretty much the same engine. You can also add X-men onto this list.

Who are you responding to? This discussion has been finished since 2004 is it really necessary to comment on it 5 years later?
