According to Game Informer the disc does contain the full game, but was accidentally labelled "Demo Disc."

There is a bug in the PC version of BLOPS 2 that cuases the game ot crash almost immediately after it is loaded. To bypass this you have to set your time zone to +8 or China. This causes the game to load properly. Not exactly a misprint but still...

that must only happen on some hardware setups, because i've put in about 2 hours on the campaign with no problems, and a friend has beaten it already without crashing.

You are correct. I should have specified that in my previous post. Of the people I know that purchased BLOPS 2 for PC 3 out of 4 had to change the time zone. Based upon that and some Google searching it seemed to be a larger enough issue to make a port about.
