i got my match up but their collection doesn't look updated to me, and their wishlist only partially reflects what they were asking for in their letter to santa. their letter to santa was good, i don't expect to have trouble finding some nice things for them, but i just worry that i might be getting things they already own without the collection list to cross-check against.

Santa has had a few people with similar issues.  He will try to nudge them a little to make sure their collection is up to date.

It never hurts to ask Santa specific questions as well.

Good point

If you have a specific question for your match, let me know and I will have Santa contact them to get the question answered in order to maintain your anonymity.

One other thing to add... If you are looking for something specific, and think another member may have it (e.g. I have a couple MK items I planned on sending to Izret), feel free to make a deal and arrange to have it sent to that person instead. I did this for a present on Digital Press once, and it worked out well (incidentally, also MK-related merchandise).

Other Mortal Kombat collectors drive me crazy. They are the worst. Creating extra demand for what i want/need. Jerks.

Not my fault you have competition. I gave him things you already owned anyways.

I blame the selling spree earlier this year that you were forced to go through. Cry

I was debating another huge selling spree but going through everything and listening to the collectorcast has me going to opposite route lol

MORE SECRET SANTA TALK NOW!
I decided to just throw a bunch of my broken games in a box. It is already in the mail...

JK
I'm hoping whoever i got ends up being happy with the small hodgepodge of stuff i am amassing Smiley

The gifts you gave my wife last year were awesome, so I doubt that the person you have this year will be disappointed.
I think I'll need a bigger box for the person I'm sending to...

Grab a refrigerator box and fill it with packing peanuts.
Put a CIB Shaq Fu for genesis at the bottom. Maybe throw in a box of those gigantic icy hot patches.

Shaq Fu is the gift that keeps on giving.

i thought about doing this, but then i also thought if i make the post generic enough it shouldn't spoil anything Wink and maybe more people will notice it and update their collection for those doing this that haven't.

LOL, i've always thought doing something like that would be a hilarious christmas prank. even better would be to do up a wrapped cardboard box built in the shape of a car, and jammed full of packing peanuts with a hot wheel car at the bottom.

Seeing all these comments about specificity is making me feel like my letter to Santa was too general.

But then again, I've only been collecting for a short while.
