French gaming company Lekki will be bringing a redesign SNES console to retail by the end of the year, and you’ll likely want to pick one up to go through all those old Super Nintendo memories.

Lekki will be releasing this brand new Super Nintendo model on their website on November 28.

The console will come in up to four different colors, one controller and a remastered copy of Super Mario World. In addition to Mario World, Lekki will be selling other remastered SNES games on their website as well.

If you’re worried about whether your SNES carts will work with this new console never fear, all SNES carts are compatible with Lekki’s Super Nintendo model.

The system will cost you £120 for the console and the game together, with each extra controller costing £14. No word on when or if Lekki plans to release this Super Nintendo model outside of Europe, but I certainly hope so.

Looks like they've modified the colours of a Super Famicom/european SNES.
I hope the games will be identifiable as not being the originals.

£120?  Ouch.  That seems a bit steep.  I do like the colors, though.

As somebody who has dealt with too many aftermarket clone systems I'll believe this when I see it. Even the best clones still can't do full hardware emulation for SuperFX chip models. No Star Fox or Yoshi's Island on that system for now.

Makes me wonder how they aren't getting sued out of existence for copyright infringement on the game re-releases.

I don't know if this is true, but it seems that they're just taking original consoles and painting them...

So that is why they're charging so much for the console.  I'm sure someone else can paint the console for less.

Making me think about getting in the business, grab some $10 systems and $5 paint, then sell them for $175 each. I'll be rolling in money!

I've already started. Better pick up the pace before the market is flooded!

I'm gonna put my extra SNES and 2 extra 64s to good use.

Make 9 and sell them for 500$s.
Have one with signatures from staff members and put it up for bid starting at 1.5k

In my opinion, painting/dying them is ruining them.

Looks like a cross between Nerf and a Super Famicom.

I think that if someone was to make a quality reproduction system I would offer them in my store. With that being said they would have to compete with original SNES pricing and the crap quality reproduction systems.
