I'm not a big advocate on telling people who they should or shouldn't vote for, but I think in 2012, the choice is clear

I'm gonna be a little depressed once your election is over. Its quite amusing to watch your politics when nothing else is on TV early in the morning

Yeah, I just find it comical that with social media people think that in some way their political posts matter or are going to change someone's opinion. So, I create and post things like this.

My votes for Joe Pesci. Cause Joe Pesci has proven results that a president requires.

He'd have stiff competition from Rod.

US elections are an absolute farce and I'll be glad they'll be over. Even our news gets blasted with this garbage every day.
Obama seems unable to communicate about the future, or he doesn't want to. He looks uninterested.
Romney is a rich guy who looks like an actor that should be doing toothpaste commercials. "Look at my teeth!" *smile*. Why would you want someone as president who clearly never speaks his mind, but only what he thinks people want to hear? There's a word for a person like that, but I don't know what it is in English.
US politics seems unbalanced to me. The republican party is far to the right and the democratic party are also on the right, but slightly less so. That's how US politics is seen in Europe. There's nothing to the left or even in the center in the US except perhaps fringe parties.
At the same time, the president is irrelevant when the House/Senate (not sure which one, I do not live in the US) can block everything the president attempts to do without ever compromising. Anti-politics?
Watch how nothing changes and the US slides down the international economical ladder even further.
BUT WAIT BEFORE YOU FLAME,
because Europe isn't any better politically & economically, albeit for different reasons.
Next decade: further rise of "asia" and other developing countries. Brazil, India, ... while the "western" world (US, Europe) can't figure out why we keep getting further and further behind.

Why would you get flamed? You're absolutely right that American politics are a total crock of crap. We get two choices between two rich guys that promise everything they think we want from them. But, since they inevitably can not back up their promises, Congress gets full of people from the other party (because they will surely fix the current president's mistakes) so then you get two parties that have more or less equal power that just do everything they can to stall or defeat what the other party is doing.
And of course, voting in a major election for anyone that isn't a Democrat or Republican is not only a waste of a vote, but usually helps the person you least want to win to win.

Hey, this was suppose to be a humorous thread meant to mock the election. Please take all serious political talk back to Facebook. You know, the place where you can get all of the election facts .

Hey, if Roseanne Barr can get on the presidential ballot, why not this guy:

However, if you're looking for a candidate who's all about protecting the Second Amendment, and getting us back on the gold standard:

I sent in my vote-by-mail ballot a couple weeks ago. The presidential, congressional, and state stuff wasn't too tough to figure out. One of the state senate candidates is a family friend, so that was a no-brainer. The real tough parts were picking candidates for the various school boards and utility management districts. Hardly seems worthwhile to research the candidates for the local positions to figure out if any of 'em are qualified for the job...

George also said,
“The next time they give you all that civic bullshit about voting, keep in mind that Hitler was elected in a full, free democratic election.”
