gameboy keyboard?

someone sent this link to a friend and he sent it to me. does anyone know if this is an official accessory? i've never heard of this before and couldn't find much on a quick google search.

edit: also don't know if it's an actual accessory or if it's just photoshopped in.

Yeah, definitely real, I have an old issue of Nintendo Power that featured it.  Don't know if it was released here in the U.S. or anywhere though.

that's really cool, thanks for the info guys. something i never expected to see attached to a gameboy that's for sure
