Hey guys, I was just checking out Wii U Daily ( I check there for updates), and saw these amazing Wii U pro controllers.  The only downside is that they're third party and usually third party stuff has a history of failing.

I'm going to wait on purchasing the Wii U and any other new consoles that come out until there is a special edition available. More bang for your buck. Besides I have enough games to last me a long time.

Aw crap! So does this mean the regular Wii Pro controllers aren't backwards compatible, then?

I never buy a new console at launch (the notable exception being the Dreamcast). So I will wait for the inevitable price drop, or a good bundle deal. This is assuming I bother with a next-gen system at all.

Here's the third party Wii U controllers on Amazon.  The description says it's compatible with the Wii also.

It's kinda like a Xbox controller

I might grab one.
I would though like to put the new Wii U in my car and fiberglass a case on my steering wheel to slide the touch screen pad in and out. It would def be cool.

When I first saw that controller I immediately thought of the the Xbox controller.

I read somewhere that they won't be available at launch. But I guess that doesn't really matter because most, if not all, launch titles exploit the advantages of the game pad.

Wow, never thought I'd see the CEO of a video game company do an unboxing video. And he did it with a remarkable degree of dignity, which is very rare in the YouTube video-game-console-unboxing genre. What a sad buncha geeks, right guys?  Wink

He even whipped out some white gloves to keep the thing from getting all oiled up with fingerprints. I think he even made a reference to Mario when he was putting them on. That's class right there, my friends...

I was so pumped after that intro music. It felt like a king was bowing at me, so I got down on my knee and bowed my head to His Grace.
