Kind of a modern Guardian Heroes plus more game for the 3DS.

I just stumbled upon this on Amazon while looking for something else, and I'm surprised that I haven't heard of this before now. It looks pretty fun. Anyone else looking to grab this one?

Had this on reserve for a few months now

Soon as I found out it was developed by members of the old Guardian Heroes team, I jumped on it. Import version is supposedly great (grumble grumble region lockout grumble) but the frame rate is known to drop, hopefully it'll be tweaked for the US release.

Also, make sure you pre-order this one for extra goodies, like a free soundtrack.

I did the 3DS XL trade-up the other day. VERY satisfied. I'm going to have to set some bucks aside on this pre-order I suppose.

I must admit I was impressed by the cinematics and gameplay footage that they showed in the trailer. And after reading the premise, Code Princess is definitely something I'd have considered trying out.

But then I read the System page's Basic Controls, Plane System, and Locking-On sections, and found myself doubting I could ever play it with enough proficiency-- or competence-- to be an enjoyable experience for me. My fingers aren't that nimble, and I'm terrible at memorizing, timing, or executing combo attacks.

But hey, don't let my less-than-enthusiastic reaction discourage you. For all those who really desire Code Princess, I hope it fulfills all your geekin' hopes and dreams...

...especially Mr. Proner's desire for nudies-- errr, I mean fanservice. And judging from one shot of the title character that leaves little to the imagination, I'm certain he won't be disappointed:

Actually, I've kinda rekindled my interest in this game when I saw the left screenshot on Princess Solange's character page. It features her and a fighting partner facing down a trio of freaky-looking beasts, and she says, "You think maybe they just need a hug?"

Jesus H., look at this douchey little bitch, sporting a combo flying-V/keytar deal, symbolizing all that was awesome and lame about the 80s in one instrument. I'll never be able to enjoy the Jets like i used to, ever again. it doesn't help that he looks like Link-- if Link were a complete and utter lamer, that is. Kid, you only wish you had one-millionth the awesomeness that Link possesses... in his right pinky.
