i just noticed (not sure how i missed this) that superman 64's box says "collector's edition" on it. (

was there ever a non-collector's edition released that anyone knows of, or is this the only version? i can't seem to find anything online besides the collector's edition

I think it is like all Mortal Kombat SNES games saying "Competition Edition".
Make people think it is special in some way and they might be more willing to buy it.

Very avant-garde of them to play into the Collector's edition appeal, before every random game started having a million editions.
