Kind of depressing news, Sony have shut down Psygnosis/Studio Liverpool. It just seems a shame that a developer that made such iconic games like lemmings and wipeout should have such an ignominious end, no drama just the result of corporate restructuring.

Yeah, we share the same sentiments; that's what I thought when I first heard. I'll miss their logo - I loved it. *points to username*

The Wip3Out games are a series favorite.  I'm still enjoying 2048, the only thing I've enjoyed on the Vita thus far.  One of my favorite devs, very sad indeed.

Always hate it when studios from my childhood get closed down like this.

It is very sad to see such a great developer shut down.  I'm hoping they get absorbed into Sony somewhere else.

*sigh* Psygnosis was one of my favorite developers. I wonder if Sony will still continue to develop against their licenses.

What? And there was just a Wipeout game on the Vita, too. I thought Wipeout was a popular series. This is how they get thanked for their services?

Just wait until Sony lets a random studio develop the next Wipeout game and completely mess it up.

At least the staff is mostly going to get assigned to different studios, it won't be the same tight teams but at least they'll keep the talent.

Somewhat of a consolation prize atleast.
