Playchoice 10 at my local arcade. Trying to get in touch with the owner to see if he wants it.

Should get in touch and see if the owner still wants the machine. Grin
My wife wants another multi-cade style cabinet. I'd nab a PlayChoice-10 if there was one in my area.

Bil, do you just want the converter or do you want a cart w/ converter. I can get converters at my local store if that is what you need.

I want the cart with converter(really just the converter in the cart).  I'm getting an adapter to play Nes games in my playchoice and if I get that little converter, ill be able to play famicom games in it too.

So an aftermarket converter wouldn't work for this purpose as well?  I had one several months ago, but I sent it to Crabby so that he could stare at it and loathe me for trying to get him into Famicom collecting. Smiley I'll see what I can do about digging another one up. What are you looking to pay for say a Gyromite with a converter in it?

I guess an aftermarket would work but I wanted to spend closer to $10-15 shipped and I thought the aftermarket ones are $25-30.  Also, I want it to be really light because of the way it hangs in the PlayChoice.  I know I could just decase it but i just thought the small adapter in a Gyro would be all I need.

I have no idea how many Gyromites and other various games it's supposed to be found in and STILL haven't found one of those damned things.  Nick and I sat in two of the shops we frequent and opened up carts for a couple hours one time looking for one.  I have the worst luck :/

I haven't found one yet either.  They seem to be more commonly found in 5 screw Gyromite carts where the pins have that little extra contact bit on the edge of the pin instead of the middle.

They are usually (but not always?) found in carts with pins that look like this

And less likey (maybe never?) found in carts with pins that looks like this

Yeah, I wrote on finding these converters in my blog a few years ago: http://www.rfgeneration.c...-Love-of-Famicom-1876.php

They are more commonly found in Gyromite carts, supposedly always found in Stack-Up, and can also be found in Hogan's Alley, Pinball, Kung Fu, and I believe they have been discovered in Mach Rider as well. Never found one in a 3-screw cart, but I have really never been looking for them in 3-screws either.  I just found this one in a copy of Pinball.
