Ok so I walked into a local second hand store and found this beauty laying among a bunch of random stuff.  I picked it up and it didn't have a price on it.  I asked him how much he wanted for it and he said " I don't know, how about 15"  I couldn't even haggle with him b/c I was so excited to get it.  He said it came into his store with a bunch of stuff that was donated from a church.

Now I know that it's not gonna have the H seam b/c it's not an official NES game.  So my question is do you guys think its the original seal.   It is in great shape and has the hang tab on the back.

What is the Value if it is the original seal.  I could only find one Buy it now for 449. and one that sold for 51 but it had water damage and warping to the box.

Here are some pics. would love some feedback.

I personally don't know how Color Dreams/Wisdom Tree originally sealed their games. I'd recommend posting all of this over on Nintendo Age.

yeah that's gonna be tough to gauge. Could be legit sealed worth who knows how much, or a re-sale worth the same as un-sealed. Finding sealed Wisdom Tree stuff to compare it to isn't gonna be easy. Def go to the pro's at NA.

The hang-tab is interesting though...

I'd PM Bronty, Minusworlds or rarebucky over at Nintendoage to get it verified. I'd bet since it has that nice hangtab its gonna be legit, but I'm no expert. All three of those guys can probably give you a rough idea on the value and condition too if you were interested.

Short version:
I think it is legit.

Long version:
I would wager it is an original seal.
Resealed games are usually alot sloppier looking and do not have hangtabs.

Also you can't really make it out in the pictures but i bet the cello has tiny tears in probably every corner and is really taut along the edges which is something else indicative of age.

When i worked at GameCrazy we actually did reseal games and i have bought stuff from game shops that was resealed and in my experience it is always much more apparent. Cello/plastic is different, seams are sloppier, where edged meet reseals usually turn into "horns" from excess/overlapping plastic melting down.

Ha Ha.  I was actually curious as to if there is any way to know which one it is.

Thanks for the feedback.  I think it looks real, and it does have the seal splitting apart a little towards the top of the one side.

To everyone else thanks for the suggestions of going to Nintendo Age.   I posted it there and also PM 'd  Bronty and he said it's always hard to tell in pics, But from his experience and what he sees.  He said he thinks it is authentic.

REALLY Excited about this. Although I have no idea of the value.

I have VGA

Sealed pricing can be really hit or miss.
Since it is already what a 20-30$ game? It could really go anywhere from 50-100 to whatever someone decides they are willing to drop on it.
People spend crazy amounts on sealed stuff sometimes.

Yeah I got about the same response on NA.  60-100

I'm cool with that.  That makes it one of my top 5 valued games.  Smiley
