Yeah, but if we broke your beer then you'd nuke us off the face of the earth with your secret nukes wouldn't you?  I mean we broke your beer, and you couldn't drink it.

I don't think Canada has nukes. And they don't need any as long as they have Celine Dion.

Need I remind anyone that the only war between Canada and the US ended in stalemate.

*I'm apologizing beforehand for the French joke that will be coming*

Actually it was Canada, the British Empire and several Native American nations against the US and France.  Like France did anything but make the war harder on us.

If you think these thread moves will force us to stay on topic you don't know this bunch very well do you?

A good idea in theory, though most likely doomed to failure.

Alexander Graham Bell did not invent the telephone. He stole the idea from a patent office, and improved upon it, but he did not invent it.  It was invented by chance, by a chap trying solve the ""bandwidth"" problems of the telegraph. The book the Victorian Internet is a good read on the history of the telegraph.

Canada inflicted the English speaking world with "the Kids of Degrassi Street" t.v show.

omg! I totally watched Degrassi: The Next Generation (I think that's the full title anyway) a few days ago. I cried  because some kid got teased a whole bunch and then he shot up some other kids. I love that show so much.

I only saw a few episodes of "The Kids of Degrassi Street", but watched a hell of a lot of "Degrassi Jr. High" and, of course "Degrassi High".

Watched the first episode of "Degrassi: The Next Generation" as the characters had a reunion.  I think the only characters who are still in it from Degrassi Jr. High are Joey, Katlin, Snake (the teacher), and Spike (the chick he married).

It was an awesome show.  I'm just too old for the new one now.  I didn't know it was shown in the UK.  I knew it was shown in the US because Kevin Smith and the guy who plays "Jay" (as in Jay and Silent Bob) were in or are going to be in an episode.
