Hello all.

Check out this beast - great packaging and pics for an eBay auction.  I have one of these systems, but this price is getting crazy for this console.  Check it out:

This doesn't even include the hefty $85 shipping costs.  Whehh...

Pretty insane price. But then again, if you have a lot of money and that's one of the few things you don't have yet, why not?

Marriott would know better than me, but wasn't it just a few years (4 or 5) ago that these could be had for relatively cheap prices? I was looking at picking one up for myself back then, and I want to say that they could be had for less than $200.

Congrats to that guy for getting top dollar. That's an impressive price.

I got mine for around $200 around 2 years ago.  It seems the market has skyrocketed for these for some unknown reason.  The same seller had a @WORLD Japanese release auction just end yesterday with a BIN of $1.5K USD.  The reserve was never met.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I never did pick one up because, frankly, I don't know what I'd ever do with it, and $200 is a lot to spend on something that I'd never use. I sort of wish I would have now :/ Oh well. Guess I'll add it to the list of the 'things that got away.'

Jesus.
It doesn't sound like its deserving of that kind of price tag.
Just how rare are these?

 speechless That's one serious auction.

But really...why did Apple and Bandai create the Pippin if they had very little gaming experience and so little games. I mean the games in that auction were mainly Anime licensed games anyway.
