Spent the night at Best Buy in the cold (seriously, the low was 8 degrees). Mostly went because I spent the night last year and had a blast. Quickly found out that it was probably because it was considerably warmer.

Anywho, I picked up a cheap laptop for a friend, 2GB micro SD for my new cell phone, a 4GB USB drive to take advantage of the ReadyBoost feature in Windows Vista and an inexpensive theater in a box for my bedroom (I needed a new DVD player anyway).

I also camped out at Best Buy from 6PM also.  It was cold as all hell, but we had a tent and a buddy heater.  It was 67 degrees inside our tent! :-)  We were number 18 and 19 in line.

I got:

Best Buy

Sony Vaio Laptop for my Wife
EMachines Desktop for my Mother-in-Law
2 1Gb Laptop Mem Chips for my laptop
2Gb SD Mem Card for my Mother-in-Law
Gun for XBox 360 for my friend

Gamestop

The New York Times Crosswords for DS
Impossible Mission for DS
Diner Dash for DS
Super Fruit Fall for DS
Blue-ray Remote for my PS3

Not too bad actually.

Prices, people, prices!  We need prices!  I picked up Barynard for the Wii and M&M Break Up for the DS from Target.  Both were $9.

Another purchase today: Logitech Harmony 520 universal remote - $50 (normally $100). Wanted to get a decent universal for my bedroom setup, and I couldn't pass this deal up. I will probably use this to replace the Sony RM-AX1400 I have in my living room (it was also quite expensive, with an MSRP of something like $120 when I got it a couple years ago) and use the Sony in the bedroom.

EDIT: returned that hunk of junk Harmony 520 about 2 hours after I picked it up. Complete lack of extra customizable buttons makes it almost impossible to use without setting up the stupid 'functions,' which I hate using. I think I will just pick up a second Sony like the one I had and use that for my bedroom.

I went to Gamestop to get some PSP movies. They were $3.99. Saw a line out the door so I just went home. I went back Saturday and picked up Steamboy for $4.99. Cost me an extra buck but I didn't have to wait.

I didn't see anything in the any of the sales worth camping out for.

Nothing here either, but I don't even know if it's such a big thing over here in Europe.  I did treat myself to a few aftermarket NES accessories from eBay that these powersellers have been throwing out like nothing. Wink  Figured I might as well get them out of the way before they stop selling them. Smiley
