How do you submit game variations?

There's the "Submit Game Variations" link, sure, but all it seems to do is search for game variations... or is it supposed to do that?

You have to search the game you want to submit a variation for.

EG. If you wanted a platinum version of FIFA 2006 entering on PS2 you would search for the inital game and then enter the variation name you want adding.

I will then see it in the submission log, check it for legitimacy and then approve it.
