according to the commercials that coincided with the ps2 launch, there will be a playstation 9, and sony will have cured cancer, aids, and poverty.

I also think that it's too early to speculate.  Too little info, and any plans or preparations that Sony may currently have for developing a fourth console can be cancelled at any time....we'll have to wait and see Wink

I think it is too early to tell but with the way things are going I think they could go the way of Sega.  I think it all depends on if Blu Ray takes off or not.

I just saw Sim City 4 in the store yesterday...

My point was there was no Sim City 3.  There was a Sim City 3000, where they stoped the version trend.
