I dont think SMS games are region coded. So yeah it should.

Yeah, they work fine on the US consoles. I own Street Fighter II from Brazil, and Ninja Gaiden from the UK, and they both play fine, though the SF II cart has a weird blur on some screens when I play it with my Power Base Convertor.
