Hee hee

My mom gave me a call as I was leaving work yesterday and said she was at a thrift store, and they had an Atari 5200 there for $20, as well as some big controller for $4.  there was a sticker on the 5200 that said cords and games in back, and she asked if I wanted it.  I told her that if the $20 price tag includes the games too, then go ahead and pick up everything

It turns out that the games did indeed come with the 5200, so here is what I got for $25:

Atari 5200 4 port model (the rf wire is cut, but that is an easy fix)
3 regular 5200 controllers, two of which actually work
5200 trackball controller (the "big controller" my mom mentioned
and the following games, all loose:
Centipede
Frogger
Kangaroo
Megamania
Ms. Pac-man
Pac-man
Pitfall
Qix
Realsports Baseball
Realsports Football
River Raid
Space Invaders
Star Trek
Super Breakout
Vanguard
and....
Some Parker Bros. game with the label ripped off.  So I plug it in and it is....
Star Wars:  Return of the Jedi Death Star Battle! (R7)

So in addition to a system, 4 controllers and 15 other games, I also got a game that is now the rarest in my collection for $25!  Happy days!

I have my entire family, as well as all of my friends on the look out for me.  My mom goes to garage sales and thrift shops a lot, so I made sure to stick a little more video game knowledge than most.

When she gave me the bags full of stuff I was actually speechless at first.

The other day I was with my mom and convinced her to buy me (as I didn't have any money) a NES Four Score and an Atari paddle controler. A few days later I talked to her on the phone and she made some comment on how she wondered why I would want, "some old wires".

I thought that was pretty funny but apparently I will have no luck getting my mom to get me any game stuff unless I am with her.
