Is this Game Gear dead forever?

I've saved a couple of Game Gears with capacitor replacements, but I'm not sure if this one can be saved. I believe it was my sister's. I found it in a non-climate controlled storage unit with the batteries still inserted. It was a mess. The silver "paint" on the interior of the case had peeled, and as you can see from the pictures, there's some serious damage to the main board. I'm particularly concerned with the trace in the one picture, which is completely gone. So the question is should I try replacing the capacitors, or is this thing dead forever?

It doesn't look pretty, but until you get them off and clean it up, it will be tough to tell. If you've lost a trace, you can always run a jumper to the next component. Doesn't take long to get them off and clean it up, so I'd go that far and re-assess.
