I'm planning on possibly picking up a Japanese Megadrive and I'd just like to make sure that an American Model 1 Genesis power adapter will work fine.  Can someone please confirm this for me?  Thanks.

I'd assume the voltage and amps that go into the console would be the same, so yes, an American Model 1 Genesis power adapter should work fine.

If you're looking at a model 1 Mega Drive, the power supply should work fine.
