One of my students called me on Saturday to tell me that they had an old Odyssey at an antique shop.

I was sure it was an Odyssey 2 because they are far more common, but I decided to stop anyway.

I got a pleasant  surprise when I got there.  It is what appears to be a CIB Odyssey 1 in excellent condition.  I'm not sure about complete because I haven't yet counted all the pieces, but all the major stuff is there and considering the condition, I'm fairly certain it's complete.

The store was asking $75, but we settled on $60.

I've never even seen one of these before.   |D

That's pretty cool. What's the value of this thing? Do you have any games for it?

Nice find, I saw one at an estate sale a few months ago.  They wanted $150 so I passed.

I don't believe there are individual games for the original Odyssey. If I remember correctly they were all programmed into the console and the individual "carts" were actually just switches that told the console which program to run.

$60 is a nice price. let's see some pics of that thing.
