Hey now,

In case anybody cares, I have a few games and consoles up for bids on eBay-- mostly off-condition & fixer-upper stuff, and spare parts-- with about 3 days left on 'em.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/z...w&_armrs=1&_sop=1

Thanks for looking...

I'm interested in the Blue Bash Skylander.  Would you sell here instead of eBay?

Just tossed some Pokemon goodies onto the bidding block for a five-day stretch.

you might want to edit your pokemon emerald title, that game doesn't use the battery to save. it's only used to keep the clock running for time based events, my girlfriend's battery had died ages ago but her save never went anywhere. it even pops up with a message when she started the game that would tell her "time based events won't work" because of the battery.

you could just say "no battery, not required to save." or something.

Are you sure about that? 'Cuz on several occasions I'd save the game, turn the GBA off, turn it back on, and there was nothing saved at all.

really? that's weird...maybe there's something else going on? the battery in my girlfriend's was definitely dead, but her copy was saving just fine. even removing the old battery when i swapped it out for a new one didn't affect her save.

edit: i know that other pokemon games need the battery to save, gold/silver/crystal for sure. i thought it was just the third gen ruby/saphire/emerald ones that used the battery differently.

I'll take a closer look at Emerald, then. Maybe I misdiagnosed the problem. BTW the Silver version cart I'm selling definitely has a dead save battery. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever found a second-hand Silver version cart with a working save/continue feature...

ya like i said in my edit, silver needs the battery to save. it's just the ruby/saphire/emerald generation that doesn't (as far as i know).

The wizard is correct. On the GBA ones a dead battery should only effect the internal clock. Its the GB/GBC ones that need a battery to save the actual game.
