finished up with everything in the Black Omen, including the early Lavos fights. it's given me another chance to side-quest so i thought it was time for a break, when i get back i'm going shopping for more of every item. currently have just under 80 Turbo Ethers though so i'm good there.

edit: finished with ending #1! final party: Chrono, Frog, and Marle. i first tried with Magus, Frog, and Marle but i lost and had to switch it up. everyone had status immunity which helped a lot, levels were i believe Chrono 56, Frog 54, Marle 55. i tried paying attention to the background during the final fight like Fleach suggested in the podcast but i couldn't figure out what any of it actually meant in terms of how to fight. what worked for me was essentially brute force, i just kept killing the left pod first and then trying to kill the other 2 before he resurrected them...which he did at least 5 times or more.

this was an awesome game, it's a contender for my new favourite game of all time, but that's a bold thing to say about a game i only just finished, so for now i'll leave it as top 5 for sure.
