I have Planet Patrol and my copy was done by SPECTRAVIDEO(c)1983 the one in the DB was done by SPECTRAVISION(c) 1982

I haven't found anything concrete on the web but so i don't know if it was just a company name change or mine comes from a different region.

Anyone know?

Awesome thanks for the info Mistro Smiley (you joined at just the right time apparently)

So my question now is do i bother adding it as a variation or just add a scan of the variation onto the game page as seems to be most popular with Atari games?

A variation because not only did the company change it's name but so did the year released making it technically a new title instead of a re-labeled one. Treat it the same way we treat M Network / INTV games. Smiley

Didn't they change their name because of a conflict with another company's name?  I think they made system for showing movies in hotel rooms.

Yea, that's right.  A hotel chain had some TV system named Spectravision so they changed names to Spectravideo in 1982.
