My dad got it at the arcade auction for $425.  There was some bull-shit 13% "auction tax" they made up than a 5% sales tax.  so in all it was $500, but still thats a good deal.  you can see the popeye machine next to that, I had that for a while.  this things awesome.  The auctioneer said that that's the cheapest MAME he's ever sold.

That is nice, I think you will find the "bullshit auction tax" is how auctions make the money. They charge vendors to sell, and buyers to buy. Some places take the piss though. My local one is 15%

Worse still, cos of some law or other, they sell Fruit Machines (slots to you) they must not be for commercial use, so they remove all of the locks. They do this by brute force, and just rip them out. It's criminal. Sad

I got a very old SEGA mechanical one armed bandit from my local once.
