If it's anything like the BAFTAs for games, it would be full of suck and phale. The average public wouldn't watch it because it's geeky and the geeks wouldn't watch it because they know better.

I believe I saw some of last years, and if I'm right then it stunk of something bad. Voted don't know since I didn't see the newest show and can't recall if I saw the one last year.
There is a lot of potential for an awards show that could have a nationals competition for various popular games (G4/TechTV does a horrible job at this) and handing out medals to the champs. Also have everyone vote on favorite games, underdog titles, best mechanics, most original and so forth.
