For some reason it may let you add larger avatars, and if I see that I will attempt to resize them (the forum resizes and hosts oversized avatars).

EDIT: I've changed permissions so that all members can upload avatars to the server. If the image is too large, the forum will resize it to within the proper limits. For those who would like to know, the maximum avatar image is 110X110 pixels.
