I figured it's a good time for me to start using an avatar Wink Since I'm a photoshop newbie, I was wondering if anyone here could, or knows how to, edit my current avatar in photoshop so that the white background outside the seal of quality (the inside needs to remain white) is turned into the background color of the RFGen forums, so that it blends in better in the avatar spot Wink

Any help is appreciated Smiley

I've never used the program, but did you just make the background transparent or something?

Well, after you make the image a type that is unlockable (gifs can't be edited by default use RGB Color), you just select the white you want to remove (via magic wand) and click delete. Once the white is deleted you save as a gif, and what was white is now transparent.

you can also set the sensitivity of the magic wand to give you a more accurate selection. also when you save as a transparent gif you can set a hold line that gives you a crisp rather than pixelated edge. you can choose a color for this or choose foreground or background color as a default.
