So I don't usually hit the Goodwill Store in my old hometown anymore (now that I'm about 45 minutes to an hour away), but while I was in town yesterday I stopped in.  I was surprised they were even open!  Walked in, checked out the books for a while, picked up a few and checked out where the games normally are placed (in a glass display case).

And saw two Game Boy Pockets sitting there.  Yellow and Ice Blue.

I had one of the people there pull them both out so I could check them out, and each had a game in the slot: Star Wars and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.  The tags on both of them said $3.99 (in the middle of the screen!  WTF!?), so I had the lady ring it up with the books.

When I checked the reciept I saw that not only were they that cheap, but both had had a 50% cut in price when they were rang up!

For about four bucks, I got TWO Game Boy Pocket units (both in working condition, the Ice Blue in much better aesthetic condition but the Yellow isn't TOO bad) with two working games.

That's probably my best find EVER.  Just thought I'd share.  Smiley

There's a Goodwill auction site online, they have some decent finds on there from time to time. Smiley

I've never personally used it, but I have seen some great deals on this site.

that's cool. some thrifts will see the name Gameboy and assume it's the current one and want quite a bit more. 4 bucks for 2 is a steal.

Nice find man!  Can't beat the price!  I agree with what Den said, many sellers (especially at flea markets) seem to associate any Game Boy with the latest handhelds and want incredibly overpriced amounts for the stuff!
