Craigslist buy

Yesterday I picked up a package from a guy that I saw on Craigslist.  It was pretty big, but I was kind of disappointed.  I'll start out with the good.  Here's what I got in the lot which I got for $75:

Atari 7800 with all hookups
Atari 520 ST with power supply and mouse
Atari SF 314 floppy drive with about 15-20 discs
2 Atari 2600 Slik Stick controllers
1 Atari 2600 Star Fighter controller
2 regular Atari 2600 controllers
1 Atari 7800 controller
1 Atari 2600 driving paddle controller
1 set of Commodore paddles
Dreamcast modem

and all of these games, all loose:

and now for the reason I'm pretty disappointed in this lot.  
1) First off, the Atari 7800 is pretty flaky.  It has some pretty bad power up issues (I have to play around with the power button to get it to turn on), and I'm pretty sure the 1st controller port is dead.  I haven't tested it all that much, so I might have just missed something.

2) Most of the games have pretty bad labels.  I only need 8 of the 2600 games, and a few label variations that I'm thinking of holding on to, and all of the 7800 games.  I was planning on sell the games I didn't need to recoup some of the costs, but I'm not sure if I could sell them in the condition they are in.  Luckily I have a friend that doesn't collect that wanted to buy one of my spare 2600's and a bunch of games for $30-40, so I might be able to pass of some of the bad label games to him.

3) The 7800 controller is completely shot.  No amount of repair will bring it back from the dead.

4) The cable to connect the disc drive to the computer is busted.  The metal ends of the cable are both mangled and twisted, so they won't plug in.  Not that big of a deal, but I still don't want to buy a new one.

5)  Finally, the discs with games I got.  According to the post, there were 20-25 discs with games on them.  What I got was 15-20 discs, more than half with application titles (at least they are according to the labels that are on them).  They are of absolutley no use to me.

Even, though alot of the stuff is in bad condition, I'm still kind of happy about this.  Hopefully, I can make back enough money selling off the extras to make this a good deal.  When I get home today, I'll post some pics of the stuff I got.

Atari Age buys common 2600 games (no silver labels) for 50 cents each store credit. Plus they give you credit for shipping. I have a ton of commons I am selling to them.

Congrats/Sorry !!!  

The 7800 should be easy to replace...consoles and controllers I see for cheap all the time...it's those pesky power adapters that are hard to find!

I have yet to find one....  It must not be as prevailant in WI and the surrounding areas.

How about this! A sega genesis activator on craigs list for $10.
Called the lady up and she still had it so I drove to her house and it was still in the box, took a quick look inside and then handed over the cash.
I just got home half an hour ago and opened it up to take a real look at my find.
Everything is still in its packing, the activator pieces are still in the little plastic bags, the video demo is still shrink rapped, the plug is in its own box, instructions (both are still in the box and the stickers are still on the sheet in a sealed envolope, may I belive this was never used?

Wow...I see them in goodwill and other thrifts all the time (well, more frequently than say coleco, 5200, intellivision, o2, etc.)  Yeah 7800, 2600, NES, and Genny stuff is usually all I see in the thrift stores around here.
