I think it would be really cool if the collection database tracked your activity with your collection so you can see a history of what games you've added and removed, as well as stats on how your collection has grown and/or shrunk, how your # of games has changed by system, tendencies toward buying or not buying a certain genre, etc, etc, etc.

Would this be possible?  If so, I think this would be a very useful and interesting tool for collectors to see how their collection changes and evolves over time.

I have no clue if that could be done but it would be cool.

Well i was going to wait until Mike or Eddie responded before i did because i had other ideas when i read it but wanted to see what they were going to say.
In anycase i forgot my ideas.....

But i too think it would be a wicked cool addition if it could work..
Especially for people who frequently buy.
Looking back they may notice preferances that they hadn't previously noticed.
It can be pretty cool to look back at where you use to be and what you have come to now.

*bump*

Just to make sure that if Mike or Eddie hasn't seen this yet, they have a chance to before it ends up buried in the boards.

I saw it, just never got a chance to respond to it.

It is a good idea, and definately something we might implement in the future.  As for right now, I think there are other projects we should work on first, such as getting hardware pages up for consoles and accessories and the like.  Don't worry, the history thing is a good suggestion and we'll see if we can find a way to incorporate it into some of our later enhancements, but there will probably be some other things that have been on our list for a while that we will be working on first.

Thanks for the suggestion and keep them coming.  The more we know what you want, the easier it will be for us to add the features you need Smiley
