PS2 through Component Cables Issue
«

I recently bought myself a component splitter (YPbPr) to hook up both my original Xbox and my PS2 to the same TV. The Xbox works perfectly through it, but the PS2 doesn't. I'm only getting audio. I have already tried the following without any luck:
- Hooking up the PS2 without the splitter (still only audio)
- Tried a different PS2
- Checked if I connected the cable correctly
- Changed the setting in the PS2 to component
- Used the same cables on a different tv (where it did work)
- Used another set of component cables
I'm sure I have had a PS2 connected to this tv using component before and it worked perfectly fine. The tv is a Panasonic TX-32LE8FA. I have checked the settings of that as well, but couldn't find anything that made a difference.
Has anyone got an idea what the problem could be?

The TV might not support 240p. But it should say that on the TV...

Could be this - not sure if the menu runs in 480i though. Although its strange that the Xbox works, unless that's being run at 480p.

Not 100% sure, but it looks like the OG Xbox does not run at 240p natively, rather 480i (came across this in a sub Reddit about modifying the Xbox for retro emulation or something). Personally, I think douglie is right and the TV is likely the culprit. None of my digital devices say anything about supporting 240p, but they are all from 2009 or earlier. They all do different things with the signal as well. My Dell projector shows a screen (which looks amazing) but flashes in a very annoying fashion, and my main Sony LCD supports it, but insists on turning it into a 480i picture.
