http://www.rfgeneration.c.../index.php?topic=12109.30So It was a busy few months after moving in, did a lot of yard work and house repairs and many more to come. I have had some time to organize all of my Arcade/advertising stuff into one area. Heres how it all turned out so far. I basically have half the basement completed and still need to finish off the tv area. Very nice place to hang out and everyone that has come over so far loves it. The crazy part is that my wife actually loves it and often comes down to hang out in my game room or the Arcade.
**** THIS IS NOT A MAN CAVE **** This is simply a basement to put all my crap in.

It functions fine for now but would like to add some more stuff on the walls, shelves curtains but all of that will come with time. That little amp is my main rig now and the amp is even signed by the man himself! The rug was pricey new edition to the basement. GO OILERS!!!!

Heres some close ups of the items I have
I saw this on eBay this past spring and I just had to have it. Trust me it cost me a pretty penny lol. Who knew McDonalds collectors were to fierce and willing to get into a bidding war over a late 1970's tiffany style lamp. Apparently managers back then had a catalogue from McDonalds they could choose items for as bonuses for their workers.
I just love these 3 ads for Skittles, Starburst, Snickers and M&Ms. They are all from 1993. It was crazy that 1 guy was selling all 3 sine, I kid you not, these are and always have been my favourite treats. The Pepsi fridge is the latest edition to my basement, from the mid 1990s and I was stoked to get it for $80 since I was about to get a regular fridge the same size for way more.
I have always loved Pepsi more then Coke but I still love these 2 items. The thermometer on the left is a Mexican knock off but the reason why I have it is because it hung of a building on my Grand Parents farm since I can remember. My Grand Parents are long gone and my Dad was doing some cleaning and was gonna throw it out. I recused it just in time. The clock just SCREAMS the 1980s to me. Every time i look at it I feel like i saw it before in a drug store next to an arcade and comic books. It was a no brainer to pick this one up
This is another sentimental item for me for sure. I got this garbage can for my birthday last year from my buddy from Jr. High. Its from the local Famous Players theatre. The very same theatre I saw a ton of movies at. Im sure Canadians here will remember those wonderful movie theatres for way back when. Sadly they closed out in the late 1990s and the way my buddy got this beauty was when they were gutting the theatre this was next to dumpster. So he grabbed it and rolled it home, he was like 11 at the time. 17 years later after being buried in his parents garage its mine! I actually remember this can next tot he arcade cabs
Funny how this Bart Simpson banner made its way onto the wall since it was neglected for so many years. I remember my Auntie and Uncle buying it for me when I was about 7 years old. I thought that was really cool rather then some other crap that was out at the time
This Pepsi banner is like twice the size and wouldn't fit on this particular wall, so i folded it. It advertised 3/$0.97. I love his area of Pepsi the most. I would like to get more items of Pepsi from the 80's early 90's. The 7 Up clock was another must have, it just reminds me of something that would be at an old hockey rink or bowling alley. The Lays Star Wars Episode 1 stand up was another item from my buddy. I know Episode 1 gets a lot of negativity but i loved it. It was a great time in my life when it came out. I was grade 9 and I was loving life so it brings back good memories. As does this entire basement.
Well thats it for now. Im kinda at a road block money wise for buying collectables for down here at the moment. Shortly Ill get at it again. Thanks for looking
