They're far from professional, but here's a few photos of my new "collection wall." I definitely like having a separate room dedicated to this stuff; It overwhelms my apartment's living room, and I'm not able to display everything - I've still got 4 or 5 totes of things in my storage area. Still, the fact that they're displayed at all is a welcome sight.

Here you go:

The eBay shelf.

Yes, it's a Bad Dudes cartridge made into a clock. What else would it be?

All those poor, cold cartridges without their warm boxes to sleep in at night... Grin
Nice, varied collection. I need to get some of those box protectors some time once I finally get around to replacing my poor boxes. I'm slowly finding that the animals are starting to accidentally damage some of mine, and the protectors would go a long way to preventing that.

The box protectors are fantastic. I waited a long time to get them, since all I could ever find were the one-size-fits-all variety. These fit really snugly and look great.

very nice collection! i'd recommend from a display perspective that unless you really need the full depth of the shelves, it almost always looks better if you pull out everything so that it's all flush with the front edge of the shelf. that way, besides the occasional really wide thing, you won't have a lot of variance in depth. it makes all the spines much easier to read and everything looks more uniform.

it's personal preference of course, but that's just my recommendation...at least give it a try and see what you think Smiley

I actually like the way it looks now - every system has it's own defined area, and I don't really have any issues reading the spines as they are.

Awesome collection!  I love the SNES collection.

I've been focusing on SNES lately. Just got a really nice CIB of Secret of Evermore last week for my birthday, and looking forward to getting Terranigma CIB and Paladin's Quest CIB in the mail this week. Have a small list of 4 or 5 games I'm gonna try to get my hands on in the next few weeks (Soul Blazer, Breath of Fire I & II, Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, 7th Saga).

Beautiful, man. Those NES carts look so nice and tidy the way they fit perfectly in that one section. Awesome.

It's so neat and tidy, I can barely stand it  Grin

You seem to have a surround sound set up in there (the audiophile in me wonders about your positioning of speakers  Tongue ) do you normally have a TV set up? Or do you use it because of music mixed in surround?

The only TV I have is set up in the bedroom. Liked the idea of not having one in the living room.

There's not a lot of rhyme or reason to the speaker setup. I don't even use the surround sound functions of my receiver - I use the 4 satellite speakers as 2 separate L/R pairs, using both simultaneously to help full the room with sound. Always found the center speaker too dominant in traditional surround setups. That said, I've had my receiver for close to 15 years now. It's far past time for me to upgrade. I'm sure there are many features and settings that I'm missing out on.
