That was my first thought but the crowd on the arcade forums encouraged me to replace the plug instead if the cord was intact.  Replacement cables are available for about the same price but I also prefer the heavier duty plug.

Seems to be a fairly friendly site. I have been on there a few times to look for pinball machines, but have never dealt with arcade cabs.  My experiences with maintenance questions (no matter how simple) on other sites has been very positive. Always expect to get your hands dirty and spend money when owning any type of machine.

Steeplechase, Centipede. Steeplechase was damaged in the flood, Centipede needs some minor cosmetic work, and the Neo Geo cab needs to have the red mylar redone on the particle board exterior.
