I've never found tats to be all that attractive, myself. There's also the whole-getting-stabbed-repeatedly-with-an-ink-filled-needle thing. Not only am I deterred by the potential pain, I also get to thinking: where's that needle been before? And just what is in that ink? I've yet to get any reassuring answers to these questions.

The expense is also a turn-off to me. Putting aside the fact that I'm a real cheapass, for the price of some of the work depicted in previous posts, I could add several more games and maybe even a system or two to my collection. I'd much rather put my money down on the actual focus of my hobby than I would advertising it on my person.

But the biggest reason I've never considered getting ink is that every effort I have made to look cool or hip has invariably failed. My inherent geekiness is so strong, no tattoo can keep me from looking like I'm trying way too hard to be "with it."

Anyhoo, those are some of my thoughts on the subject. I hope I didn't bum you out too much...

Haha. I can appreciate that. I've toyed with the idea of getting one for quite some time. But between the cost or design something has always kept it from happening. What I'd REALLY like to get done would be the Master Sword done on my back. It would celebrate my love for the series AND would have additional meaning for my son. His name is Lincoln but, of course I call him Link for short so this would allow me to be a nerd AND have meaning in one shot.

@Zag if you have to ask where has that needle been before i highly suggest you never get a tattoo because you have never been to a clean shop.

Or more likely have never been in a shop before in which case it is worth at least learning about. It is an ancient art form after all :-P

Thanks Smiley

There are a few spots i want to get touched up. Mostly just to round it out(very bottom for example)

And i still haven't decided if i want to add the colored background or not to it...

I vote yes for adding the colored background.

I have one tattoo already on my left tricep.

The next one I'm getting is going to be the Symbol of Torment on my right tri.

That's cool, psycho

As of now, I am tattooless.  I've been thinking about an origami unicorn, possibly in the rain.

At first I thought, "cool Heavy Rain related tattoo." Then after some googling I realized it's a Blade Runner thing.

I think I'll always be one without tattoos.

I know I'll be without them. Why put bumper stickers on a Ferrari, right?
