I see a UPC underneath the sticker.  Could it possibly be a US game relabeled for use in Asia?

^ blck nailed it. It's a Mega Drive game for release in Japan. The UPC underneath it likely starts with 4974365, which is the Manufacturer ID for Sega in Japan.

It's absolutely not a US version though...

This is what it looks like normally... in addition the UPC's dont match. The upc underneath is 4991425000159.. googling that produced zero results...

Cody,
That's not a valid EAN. 4991425 is Domark/Tengen, and that should end in 156, not 159. However, going by that, that's the EAN for the Japanese Mega Drive Mig-29. Sounds like a bootleg.

General consensus is its a bootleg. Who makes a bootleg of World Series Baseball! lol. Well another funny little conversation piece for my collection! Smiley

There were no American Baseball games for the JP Mega Drive. Considering there's a big market for Baseball there, it doesn't surprise me that someone would make a bootleg of it.

A local shop had it in with all the normal genesis games. Obviously it stuck out like a sore thumb to me lol so I grabbed it since it was cheap.
