I take solace in knowing that he is a clubhouse cancer. Always liked the guy and followed him up from the minors, but he and a few others were the cause of Boston's collapse. People try to blame coaching, but Francona was a solid manager and a likable guy. When you throw that much money at players and so little to the people who actually tell them what they need to do, respect goes out the window. That's the problem with all sports these days.
