Hello all.

I recently implemented a Comments section throughout my website (Video Game Console Library) and was hoping that you could provide some feedback.  Any thoughts on the visual appeal, ease of use and anything else you might have to offer would be extremely helpful (since I kind of work on my website in a vacuum).

Here is a link with it integrated within our blogs:
http://www.videogameconso...elibrary.com/blog/?p=1174

The following shows it within a console page:
http://www.videogameconso...rary.com/pg90-pioneer.htm

If you could test out the Comment interface as well that would be great.  I want to ensure that it is easy to use for everyone while providing the functions that most people want.  I can delete comments for those that wish to have their test comments removed (just put DEL at the end of your message).

Thanks in advance all.  As always, your candid thoughts are sincerely appreciated.

Terry

EDIT: Please let me know what browser you are using.  Thx!

Thanks tech - glad it displays well.  Would you use it (in general) to comment on a console or article?  Just asking since I don;'t want the system to be too cumbersome to use.  If it is difficult, I will change it out.

Thanks again for your thoughts.

Thx for posting the test comment tech!  Was it easy to use?  I deleted it as requested (del).  Thanks and let me know your thoughts on the interface and using the Disqus system.  Candor is always appreciated.

i just made a test post on the first link you posted above, it seemed simple enough. the only thing i can see that could maybe be a little cleaner about the look of it is i don't know if you really need those couple lines below the "discuss" title above comments. it feels like it's explaining how to comment, which most people on the internet don't really need these days Tongue . you could probably streamline it down to just the "Discuss" with the subtext "visitor insights and feedback", and one sentence saying "Please review our Terms of Use & Policies before posting a comment."

edit: disqus seems really nice and easy to use, i like how there's nothing more than a name and email required, makes posting a lot faster the first time.

tech - great feedback!  I agree wholeheartedly.  I modified the text and I believe it does indeed work better.  I am looking at my text for the console pages and will try to streamline that as well.  Thanks again for the suggestion and please let me know any other suggestions you may have.

Using Firefox 16 everything seemed to work fine, I like how quick it is to setup disqus and it  integrates well with the site, also the community tab is nice feature as there so much in there its cool to see what other people are commenting on without trawling though the site.

Glad you found it easy to use Seno.  I kind of like the Community tab as well - it is easy to see what the hot topics are.  Thanks again for testing it out and the feedback.
