When buying, selling or trading games there is one thing that's always sure to come up: Whats this game worth to me? Pricing your game to sell can be a tricky thing. Buying at a price both the seller and buyer can agree upon, and be happy with, can be even trickier.

How important is it for trades to be equal in value? Does your relationship to someone have a monetary value when it comes to transactions? Whats a lowball and is it ever appropriate to make such an offer? What are the generally accepted methods of estimating an items price?

Join Duke, Crabmaster and Bil as we discuss how to spend your Toonies on the ever fluctuating market of secondhand video games.

What is it with women and HotD?  My wife LOVES the House of the Dead series as well.  We actually use to spend our dates in college going to the arcade to play the original.  Working our way through Overkill now.

I don't know what it is but Sarah was the one who spotted it on the show floor and suggested we play.  I wonder if they feel the same way about the Typing of the Dead.

Hey Hanna Montana and Ballet Studio are High quality games lol

Excellent outing as always guys. Makes the work day go faster....especially the new job at the local video game store xD.

@NeoMagicWarrior: That sounds like a nice fun job. Older games too?

Since we run a clean podcast, ask the boss if you can play the show in the store for everyone to hear Wink

I never thought about people running the show at a game store.  Awesome idea and highly appreciated!

Thanks for giving me something to listen to today, while I was driving the work truck around to fix the ever-exciting No Dial Tone troubles.  I hate working the outside sometimes.  I'm more of a central office kind of guy.

And I'm hoping that the cable that arrived today will prove fruitful for a 32X console I purchased recently with a large Sega lot.  If so, I'll be bothering you, Bil.

Great show guys. And thanks for the plug. Kinda cool listening to fellow collectors talking about your own finds.  Keep up the good work.

P.S.  It was 63 CIB NES games and I paid around 250-275 total.  And I disappeared for a year or so b/c I was really busy with work, family, new house etc.  Excited about getting back in the swing of things and have been bitten by the hunting bug again.

Of course you guys come out with a new podcast while I'm doing work where I can't listen to my iPod, hopefully this week we'll be off this damn mountain and get back to more normal work and I can catch up on the podcast.

I got mentioned in small scores, neat!!  I think I posted my score from my phone on my way to watch a football game so that's why there were no pictures.  But if you guys really want to see a pic I think that can be arranged in exchange for forgiveness on my fee Tongue  I've also bought things off of SosaFan2, he has really good deals on things, especially is you're looking to pick up manuals or boxes to complete sets. Great podcast as always and can't wait for the next one!

my wife loves HOTD, but in fairness she also loves horror movies. I figured that had a lot to do with it.

@noiseredux: My wife as well. Loves the House of the Dead games and horror movies in general.

My wife LOVES TOTD. I bought a second keyboard for the Dreamcast so we could play together. She even quotes lines of bad dialog regularly. Other than Animal Crossing, she doesn't play games. It's very strange.
