The quest for goodies this week met with a bit of a failure in the quantity department, but a huge success in the quality stakes. I did my normal weekly trawl of the charity shops, coming up trumps at the start of the week, but a BFZ (that's a big fat zero for you DOOM fans) today.
Game BoyBurai fighter Deluxe
Ghostbusters II
Pac-Man
Wizards & Warriors X: Fortress of Fear
Double Dragon
Golf
Solar Striker
The Amazing Spider-Man
Now not only are these boxed, but they also have the little plastic bag for the cartridge, the Nintendo poster, the manual and the registration card, and I paid GBP 3 for each of them.
PlaystationFinal Fantasy VIII
Not particularly impressive, but it's in better condition than the one I currently own, and it was GBP 3.
Playstation 2Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence
This one is a bit of a cheat actually as my friend
Data picked it up for me when it became available in his hometown. This week was the first time we'd been able to co-ordinate the handover of game and money, so a big thanks to him for that. GBP 35
Grand total: GBP 62.00
Months total: GBP 127.96
Year to date: GBP 262.51
That's a bit steep for MGS3 in my opinion, but the minty GB games completely make up for it. Nice scores!!!

Is Subsistence hard to find there, too? It's a bit tricky to get your hands on here.
|
@logical123:That's not MGS3 Snake Eater, but Subsistence, the 3 DVD special edition. Pretty hard to get hold of, and regularly sells for over GBP 45 on eBay
|
I bought Subsistence when it was new in store here. I remember it was €35 or something and a week later they raised the price to €40.
Those GB games look nice!

Which charity shops are best for finding games in? There are plenty of charity shops (and pound shops) around here, but haven't even seen anything of any worth in any of them.
|
@AndyC: I tend to have most success with British Heart Foundation, but mainly I do so well because I check them all at least weekly.

Nice finds, especially the GB games.
