In a week with so many games, it's tough to give out a pick of the week. However, I've got to go with GRiD. The game is made by Codemasters, the same team behind last year's awesome rally racer DiRT, and attempts to bring the style of racing game presented in that game onto the streets. GRiD stands apart from most other racers in that it is neither a simulation like Forza or Gran Turismo nor an arcade style game like Burnout or Project Gotham, but somewhere in the between. It definitely has some great physics, but it isn't too overbearing for casual racing fans. Better yet, it carries over the amazing menu design philosophy as seen in DiRT, which is arguably the greatest interface ever seen in a video game. The game is available now on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. If you're interested in the game, be sure to download the demo for it on your platform of choice...it's definitely worth your time. Check back next week where there will undoubtedly be a ton of games for me to cover.

Although it is a GameStop exclusive, Chaos Wars was released this week by Atlus for the PS2. Strat RPG with characters from various games.

I picked up my Chaos Wars earlier this week. I think I might leave it sealed. Since it's a GS exclusive, seems like it might be valuable at some point.
Also, it was released by O^3, not Atlus.

I did not notice that one....even on GameStop's site. Unless I overlooked it somehow.

@Tondog:
Yeah, it's weird: it apparently dropped off the face of the earth as soon as it was released. My GS only got one copy over reserves. But I can confirm that it arrived at GS on wednesday and is only available at GS B&M or GS/EB online.

I love the look of GRiD graphically but I have Burnout Paradise and I'm not that into track racing or cordoned off road racing. I watched some videos of it and became drawn in and started thinking about ordering especially for the arcade side of the game which I am more interested in. But I suppose what stopped me was the sim elements. They're not bad at all. On the contrary, everything looks really well done. It's just I'm quite crap at games lol and I'm especially crap at driving games. To see a car crash and being written off reminded me that I'd be the one to do that in every race. Of course, I could just "L2P" and be a better online player but I have no interest in that. All I want to do is drive so fast that I catch fire and preferably use someone else's car as a method of braking lol. GRiD looks a fantastic game, hope people have a lot of fun in it. P.s. That menu system looks pretty damn cool!
