Remember my Initial Impression of Postal III from a while back? Yeah, I didn't think so. It was lost when RF Generation went down. Anyway, to get you up to speed, it was a terrible first impression that this game made. Fortunately, thanks to Patches and Bug Fixes, it's improved a lot, but it's still not perfect. Here's why:

Gameplay: 3rd Person Shooter

This game runs on Valve's Source Engine, which is unusual, as this is a 3rd Person Shooter, as opposed to an FPS. Anyway, unlike the previous, non-linear game, this one is more linear, with a Good VS. Evil thing going on in most of the missions. You can choose to be evil, or be good, but this is Postal III, so why would you want to be good? Tongue

Unfortunately, the game suffers a lot of lag when there's a lot going on, and while said lag is bad, it's not bad enough to stop you from playing, although it does hamper the experience. Still, it's not as bad as it used to be, with it originally lagging so bad, that it would crash the game.

Sounds and Music:

The sounds are decent and sound great, but with all the chaos going on during the missions, I didn't really pay attention to the music. Sorry.

Graphics:

Unfortunately, this game requires a more powerful machine than I have, so I had to tone down the Graphics a lot to make it playable, so it's not the best looking thing out there. While I personally don't care a lot about Graphics, a lot of people do, so I'm giving you a fair warning: If you really wanna play this, get a super computer. Smiley

The End Result: C Plus

This game needs some work, but it really has come far from when it was first launched, and is at least playable now, but it's not really worth 30 Bucks yet, so I'd wait for a price drop if you plan to buy it. Also, you NEED to be patient. The load times are awful, and longer than those of the Neo-Geo CD. All in all though, this is a funny game, and you should really give it a chance.

Fun Fact: You can meet Uwe Boll in this game. Smiley

EDIT: As of today, June 8th, 2012, I learned of a way to increase performance which gets rid of most of the lagging. If you want to know how to do this, send me a PM.
